One morning in September or October 1942, the local German military commander ordered to arrest the Jewish refugees. The arrests were carried out by the local police. The Jews were forced into a German military vehicle and taken to an anti-tank trench northeast of Armavir. There, a total of 14 Jews were shot dead with machine guns.
