Askaniya Nova Area
In March 1942 9 Jews from Grigorovka village, including 7 members of one family, were taken by cart first to Chaplinka village and then to Askaniya Nova in Zaporozhye District. Upon their arrival at the outskirts of Askaniya Nova the victims were forced to hand over their belongings and dig their own grave. They were then shot to death. Their murderers were apparently local auxiliary policemen from the Chaplinka police station.
