Chervoniy Kolosok Collective Farm

In September-October (or December, according to Soviet reports) 1941, the Jewish population of Skadovsk was rounded up in the town's public bathhouse. The arrestees - 250-350 people of all ages and both sexes - were then taken 3 kilometers northwest of Skadovsk and shot at anti-tank trenches near the garden of the Chervony Kolosok collective farm. The perpetrators of this massacre were members of Sonderkommando 10b of Einsatzgruppe D.

Black Sea Coast near Skadovsk

According to one of the German perpetrators, 15 Jews from Skadovsk – men, women and children – were shot outside the town, in the area of the Black Sea coast, in the fall of 1941. This massacre was perpetrated by members of Sonderkommando 10b of Einsatzgruppe D.
