Former Military Camp near Ulla

Shortly after the establishment of the ghetto a number of Jewish men were taken to dig pits out of town, at a former military camp that later was a camp for Pioneers (young Communists). After the digging was finished, all the men were shot to death. On December 5, 1941 (according to another source, January 17, 1942) young men, women, and members of the intelligentsia were taken to the site of the former military camp on the pretext that were going to perform hard labor, and then they were shot to death. The liquidation of the ghetto took place on January 17, 1942. At that time 320 inmates of the Ulla ghetto were taken to the site of the former military camp and shot to death.
