Former Shooting Range in Novograd Volynskiy Area
In August–September 1941 a large number of Novograd Volynskiy Jews was shot by Sonderkommando 4A in the area of the former shooting range. According to Soviet reports, the Jewish victims were buried in two large graves that had been dug, in the course of several days, by POWs. Apparently, non Jews were also shot and buried at the site. The total number of bodies found at this location was approximately 3,200.

Machine Tractor Station in Novograd Volynskiy
The first mass shootings of Novograd Volynskiy Jews were carried out in late July – early August 1941. The victims, mostly men, were shot in three bomb craters in a field of the local Machine Tractor Station [MTS], located on Chekhov Street. Some shootings were carried out by Sonderkommando 4A. At least one of the others was carried out by the 8th Infanrty Regiment of the 1st SS Brigade on July 28, 1941. During this murder operation the victims were shot in groups of 100-200. While most of the victims were Jewish, apparently, some non-Jews were shot at the same murder site as well. The total number of victims was 800.

Red Army Club Area in Novograd Volynskiy
In the late August, according to some testimonies on August 29, 1941, a group of several hundred Jews was brought on trucks to the grove on the bank of the Sluch River opposite the Red Army club. Soviet reports state that the group consisted of women and the children only, while there some testimonies say that it also included men. The victims were shot there. Before the shooting the Jews were forced to undress and their clothes was taken away. According to various sources the number of Jews shot ranged from 600 to 800.

Sukhovolya Forest
Every week enfeebled and sick inmates of the Novograd Volynskiy ghetto were taken by train to the forest near Sukhovlya village and murdered there. Some witnesses say they were shot in groups in several graves [pits] located opposite the rail way station.

Sluch River Bank in Novograd Volynskiy
The final liquidation of the ghetto population was carried out in November 1942 or, probably later, in winter - spring 1943, when the women and the children who had not succeeding in escaping and being taken in by partisans units, were taken from the ghetto and shot. While the survivors' testimonies do not indicate the precise location of the murder site, German documents state that Jewish women and children who were members of the families of artisans who still remained alive in the Novograd Volynskiy ghetto were shot on the bank of the Sluch River. The total number of victims was 80. According to the same source, the shooting was carried out in the spring of 1943.
