Garden of the Local Executive Committee in Lyuban
On the night, November 6-7, 1941 a partisan group named in honor of Ponomarenko attacked the local police station and as a result several dozen policmen and the mayor were killed. Local Jews were accsed of cooperating with the partisans. In retaliation the Germans murdered the last fifty Jewish adult male survivors in the garden of the local executive committee.

Machine Tractor Station in Lyuban
On December 4, 1941 Germans and local policemen surrounded the ghetto and took 700 ghetto inmates to pits near the local MTS (machine-tractor station), where they were shot to death.
