Grain Storage Pit in Ipatovo

In the early morning of one day in August or September 1942, German authorities took 54 Jews to a grain storage pit located near the ruins of a grain elevator that had been destroyed. All of these Jews were shot to death. Afterward, the Germans covered the bodies of the victims with burned wheat husks.

Kallaus River Bank

In October or on November 3, 1942, the German authorities collected all of the rest of the Jewish civilians, a total of 84 people, and imprisoned them on the same Collective Farm No. 11. the Jews were held there for several days and then taken on a forced march in the direction of Ipatovo, where the Germans shot the Jews to death next to the bank of the Kallaus River.
