Kamennyy Brod Road
Most Rogachov Jews were killed in late September 1941, although there are testimonies that date this event to November 20, 1941. Local policemen forced the Jews into a local club building. Some witnesses reported that some old people who were unable to walk were murdered on the spot. In the club the Jews were ordered to hand over the valuables they had with them. Then 20-25 artisans and their families were separated from the rest of the Jews and put into three houses across the street. From there they witnessed the fate of those who remained in the club. The children, including infants, were separated from their parents and thrown into a room in the club. The police and some Germans forced the adults to get onto 4 or 5 trucks that were brought to the building by pushing them with bayonets. The adults were then taken to the murder site, to pits that had been dug by local residents, and shot to death. The murder site was apparently located in the forest in the vicinity of the road from Rogachov to Kamenny Brod, although some testimonies identify the site as an area near Ostrozhok village. The exact number of Jewish victims is unknown, although some documents indicate the figure of 600.
