Kandybinsky Hollow

On November 7(8) 1941 the German authorities ordered the local police to collect the [local] Jews so that they could be shot. The Jews learned about this and 150 escaped from the town the day before the massacre. The rest of the Jews were taken to an underground fuel storage cellar at the granite quarry. Later the German solders took them in groups of 40 to the [Kandybinsky] Hollow and shot them one by one in the back of the neck.
