Jews from Troyanov were shot to death on several occasions. A unit of German military engineers carried out the first murder operation shooting to death 22 Jews. During the second operation, that was carried out in Troyanov and Rudnya, 26 Jews were shot to death. The third operation took place in October 1941, when 493 Jews were taken to pits that had been prepared at the military training ground. The victims were shot to the death by a German murder squad.
