Novo Minskaya Cemetery
On November 15, 1942 German Gestapo men from Leningradskaya village took 42 Jews from the Kommunar kolkhoz to the cemetery located in the southern part of the town at the corner of Krasnaya Street (today Lenin Street) and Zubovskiy Street. There the Germans took away the belongings of the Jews and destroyed their documents. The Jews had to take off their outer clothing and were shot to death in their underwear. Their bodies fell into the pit that had been prepared in advance.
