Pine Tree Plantation in Sokolov
The Sokolov Jewish women and the children were taken out of the village by trucks, apparently on the pretext to be taken to the county center. In fact, they were taken to the pinetum in the vicinity of the village. There was a pit prepared in advance. According to some testimonies the children were separated from their mothers and forced to go or, apparently the younger ones, were taken to the trucks where they were murdered with electroshock. The adults were put at the edge of the pit and shot at the back. The teenagers that tried to avoid the shooting and made an attempt to escape were caught by the POWs and brought back to the trucks to be murdered. Some of the victims managed to escape from the shooting site and went into hiding in nearby villages.
