On March 29 (April 5, according to the testimony of a survivor), 1942 about 300 Jews of all ages and both sexes from Petrovskogo (Gorodishche) and from the county were taken along the road to the locality of Mliev, some 10 kilometers northeast of Petrovskogo. The victims were stopped about halfway, at the tract known as Sadstantsiya, at pits dug in advance, forced to take off their clothes, and then shot dead. The perpetrators of this massacre were German rural and local auxiliary policemen assembled from the entire Petrovskogo County.
