Shevchenko State Farm

On October 19, 1941 members of a unit apparently belonging to Einsatzgruppe D, together with local auxiliary policemen, concentrated about 20 families of Jewish collective farmers of the Pioner kolkhoz, a total of about 80 people, in the local school building. From there all the Jews were taken by truck to an abandoned well on the Shevchenko state farm 3 kilometers east of the Pioner kolkhoz and shot dead; their bodies were thrown into the well.
