The Jews of Aleksandriya, probably consisting mainly of women and children, were taken in large groups to a collection point on the pretext of being relocated. They were told to bring their valuables with them. From the collection point they were taken to a shooting range located southeast of the town, where they were shot.

Storehouse in Aleksandriya

The Jewish men of Aleksandriya were forced under the roofed area of a storehouse. The Germans sawed through the pillars of the roof so that it collapsed and crushed the Jewish men. The Germans then stamped on the roof in order to press it down further. Those [Jews] who tried to get out from under the roof were immediately shot. Later searches were carried out in order to find any Jews who were hiding; they were then also taken to the murder site.
