Bathhouse near Ostrovno

During the liquidation of the ghetto the Jew woman Stefa Shekter, who was married to a non-Jew, succeeded in hiding her two daughters in the house of her mother-in-law. However, in the summer of 1942 local policemen found them and shot the mother and daughters to death behind the bathhouse, located on muddy ground 30 meters from the local road. The owner of the house buried them close to the road, but without marking the place.
