Agro-Joint Wells near Gortenshtot
According to local inhabitants of Zhuravli, Jews from Gortenshtot and the village of Voyo-Nova (now Listovoye) were murdered here, at the irrigation wells dug with the support of the Agro-Joint organization, some distance from Gortenshtadt.

Sheep Farm Wells near Gortenshtot
On March 19, 1942 a small German unit from Saki arrived in Gortenshtadt (Gortenshtot). 15 (according to Soviet reports) Jews living in the village were brought to wells that were used for watering livestock. There the victims were placed at the edges of the wells and shot. Their bodies were thrown into the wells. After shooting, the German threw handgrenades into the wells to kill those who had only been wounded.

Agro-Joint Wells near Gortenshtot
According to several testimonies, on March 19, 1942 about 10 Jewish children and women were denounced by a local resident to the Gestapo. The Jews were taken by truck and, together with Jews from the neighboring Molotov kolkhoz, were shot to death by a murder squad (or, according to one testimony, buried alive) at irrigation wells dug with the support of the Agro-Joint organization, some distance from Gortenshtot village. The clothes of the murder victims were given to the village elder Yerokhin and a local policeman named Kapishen.
