Bronne Area
Early in July 1941 several Drohiczyn Jews, as well as some refugees from the nearby Vielta village, were captured and taken to the Brona estate, located four kilometers from the town. There they were tortured and then shot on the pretext of their being pro-Communist activists. In different documents the number of the victims was reported as having been between six and eleven.
